HI, I’M NYRO MURPHY

A Different Kind of Therapy

Your life may look successful from the outside and still feel complicated, disconnected, or difficult in ways that are not always easy to explain. Perhaps you have achieved what you set out to achieve, yet find yourself repeating patterns you cannot seem to think your way out of. Perhaps your relationships, career, family, or sense of self have reached a point where the usual solutions no longer work.

Therapy can offer more than a place to talk about what is wrong. It can be a space for honest examination, meaningful insight, and real transformation.

With more than two decades of experience as a psychotherapist, I bring a direct, sophisticated, and deeply compassionate approach to the work. I listen carefully not only to what you say, but to the patterns beneath it—the emotional dynamics, relational history, protective strategies, and sometimes less conscious aspects of yourself that may be influencing the choices you make.

My work is grounded in established psychological approaches while also incorporating intuitive perception and a highly developed sensitivity to what may be present beneath the surface. For some clients, that additional dimension of awareness can open doors to insight that traditional conversation alone may not reach.

I believe you are the ultimate authority on your own life. My role is not to tell you who you are or how you should live, but to help you see yourself more clearly. I will offer validation when it is needed, challenge when it is useful, and perspective when you may be too close

Whether we are working through a relationship crisis, betrayal, anxiety, life transition, family conflict, professional pressure, or patterns that have followed you for years, our work is collaborative and highly individualized. We look beneath the immediate problem to under

stand what is actually happening—and then determine what needs to change.

Couples & Partner Work

Relationships often bring our deepest patterns to the surface. The same relationship that can provide intimacy, security, and connection can also activate old wounds, fears, defenses, and expectations.

My approach to couples and partner work integrates principles from Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Gottman Method, trauma-informed and body-based therapies, along with my broader experience working with individuals and relationships. Rather than focusing solely on who is right or wrong, we explore the underlying dynamics that keep the relationship caught in familiar cycles.

Sometimes the most productive work happens together. At other times, individual sessions create the privacy and freedom necessary to understand yourself more deeply and make meaningful changes that can then be brought back into the relationship.

The goal is not simply to stop fighting or communicate better. It is to understand the relationship—and yourself within it—at a deeper level, so that you can make more conscious choices about how you want to love, connect, communicate, and live.

My Approach

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Dream it

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.

Build it

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
